SES prepared for possible impact of H1N1 Human Swine Influenza
Our State Headquarters has undertaken planning to ensure that the service maintains its capacity to respond to floods, storms and tsunamis during the current swine flu outbreak.
SES’s internal Pandemic Operations Management Team has met regularly to develop an Operation Action Plan (OAP) based on the guidelines in the SES Business Continuity Plan and up-to-date information received from NSW Health.
The plan outlines internal preparedness and response activities aligned to the phases of pandemic in the NSW Human Influenza Pandemic Plan, which is a sub plan of the NSW Displan.
Actions in the plan are based on the key risk control measures of Infection Control, Social Distancing and Workforce Management with the aim of preserving SES capability to meet core roles.
The NSW Department of Health provides information on the current Human Swine Influenza situation in NSW and advice on what you can do to help minimise its spread.
Three posters have been developed for Units to display on their notice boards - they can be found in the Downloads section.
