Employer Recognition Survey

The Public Communications Branch at State Headquarters is developing a new program where the SES recognises the valuable support provided to our volunteers by their employers.

The initial step in rolling out this program is the introduction of a survey of volunteers to establish some of the employment issues they face when operational duties arise. From this data collected they will be able to formulate appropriate methods for recognising employers who support our volunteers during these times.

The survey offers volunteers the opportunity to feed vital information back in an anonymous format, while still providing the opportunity to go in the draw for a prize if they wish.

The survey is being conducted by an external contractor to ensure confidentiality can be delivered to the responding volunteers and to provide SHQ with detailed and unbiased reports surrounding the responses.

The survey is available online and details can be found in the attachment. It will run from 14th October 2008 until 13th January 2009. A printed copy which can be filled out and faxed or mailed in should be available soon.
