50 years of NAIDOC Week
As we proudly celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC Week, we pay tribute to the First Nations volunteers within the NSW SES who serve with courage, strength and unwavering commitment to community.
This year’s NAIDOC theme — “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision, Legacy” — is a powerful reflection of the resilience of our people, the wisdom of our Elders, and the bold vision of our youth. It also reminds us of the legacy being built by our incredible Indigenous SES members, whose contributions are woven into the very fabric of our service.
During NAIDOC week, we take this special moment to acknowledge and celebrate the enduring strength, culture and leadership of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander volunteers who continue to protect, guide and inspire communities across NSW.
Together, we walk forward — grounded in where we’ve come from and united in where we’re going.
Thank you for your service. We see you. We celebrate you. We stand with you.
