Extra training for SES volunteers - The Ridge News

NSW SES volunteers from across Macquarie Region descended on Mudgee to complete nationally recognised training and be assessed in storm and water damage operations. With 25 participants and six trainers and assessors representing seven units including Collarenebri, Dubbo, Gilgandra, Glengarry, Lightning Ridge, Narromine and Wellington.

During the course participants are trained in how to assist their communities during times of floods and storms while remaining safe doing so. They are trained in such things as tree operations, providing temporary repairs, pumping and diverting flood water.
