International Women's Day 2014 - NSW SES
International Women’s Day is being celebrated around the world on 8 March 2014. The day celebrates and recognises the economic, political and social achievements that women have made in their community.
The NSW SES is made up of a wide diversity of people who regularly commit their time and energy, volunteering to assist their communities in times of flood, storms and other emergencies.
The Service provides professional development opportunities for both female staff and volunteers in the Service. Opportunities include female staff and volunteers attending the Australian Women in Leadership Forum and Women in Management conference which are both annual events.
The NSW SES has a rich history of female members contributing significantly to New South Wales communities including these two following women who not only hold senior positions within the Service but are also 2 of the loveliest people you will ever meet.
