THE peninsula’s top cop has heaped praise on his troops and all the emergency workers who helped during the wild weather last week.

And his praise has been echoed by the commanders of the local State Emergency Service the Rural Fire Service and Fire & Rescue NSW.

Northern Beaches local area commander Supt Dave Darcy said calls began coming in on Monday night.
