Newcastle woman crawls from home crushed by tree as authorities struggle with volume of requests for

A Newcastle woman who was forced to crawl from her home on her hands and knees after a neighbour's tree fell onto her roof has been unable to contact the SES, as authorities struggle to keep up with requests for assistance.

Simone Miller told 9news.com.au she was stuck inside the home with her two children and her parents earlier this morning and had received no response when calling the SES.
