NSW SES Volunteers to Roll up their Overalls - NSW SES
by | June 5, 2015
As the cold and flu season sets in, members from the NSW SES, alongside other Emergency Services are working with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service to combat the seasonal decline in blood donations.
Today NSW SES Commissioner, Adam Dent attended the launch of this challenge in Wollongong, alongside volunteers and staff as they rolled up their overalls to provide essential blood donations to those in need.
With more than 26,000 blood donations required in Australia every week, NSW SES staff and volunteers are coming to the rescue in a different way; taking part in a three-month Emergency Services Blood Challenge.
