NSW SESVA Update - February 2026

Dear SESVA Members,

We hope this update finds you well and thank you, as always, for the incredible commitment you show to your communities. Below is a snapshot of what’s been happening across the NSW SES Volunteers Association (SESVA) and some important opportunities coming up.

Mental Health First Aid Training – Lismore

Last weekend, SESVA proudly delivered a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course in Lismore for NSW SES volunteers.

A huge thank you to our dedicated trainers Teddy Haryjanto and Erin Pogmore, and to all participants who gave their time to build vital skills that support both themselves and their fellow volunteers. We had members from Lismore City Unit and surrounding units coming together to learn, share and support one another.

We’re so grateful to all of our supporters who help make this vital training possible, and a special thank you to the Lismore SES unit for providing the facility and ongoing support.

Courses like this remain a key part of SESVA’s commitment to volunteer wellbeing, and we look forward to delivering more training opportunities across the state.
