Orange: Missing girls Marley Aplin and Rihanna Ryan found safe and well - The Daily Telegraph

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl lost in rugged bushland near Orange described how she survived a “scary” and freezing 20 hours by cuddling with her friend and sleeping in a bed of leaves and sand.

Marley Aplin and Rihanna Ryan, 7, were winched to safety yesterday, ending a 200-strong air and ground search in NSW’s central west. Orange SES, police and locals all joined the search for the missing girls.

The two seven-year-old girls were last seen about 4pm yesterday afternoon and endured near freezing conditions overnight before being found at Midday today.
