by Ben McClellan | August 1, 2016
A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl lost in rugged bushland near Orange described how she survived a “scary” and freezing 20 hours by cuddling with her friend and sleeping in a bed of leaves and sand.
Marley Aplin and Rihanna Ryan, 7, were winched to safety yesterday, ending a 200-strong air and ground search in NSW’s central west. Orange SES, police and locals all joined the search for the missing girls.
The two seven-year-old girls were last seen about 4pm yesterday afternoon and endured near freezing conditions overnight before being found at Midday today.
