Please be aware of Flood Donation scams
by | July 28, 2014
The NSW SES has received reports from two locations of people claiming to be from the NSW SES who are soliciting donations for flood victims.
The NSW SES does NOT solicit donations in this way.
There is a raffle undertaken by the NSW SES Volunteer's Association that does raise funds for NSW SES volunteers. This is legitimate and callers are clearly identified as from the NSW SES Volunteers Association. Please refer to the Fund Raising and Raffles page of our website for more information.
The NSW SES does not collect donations for flood victims either from the phone or personal visits or from buckets in the street.
If you feel a caller or caller is not legitimate, contact the NSW Police.
