Rotary Recognises Local heroes - NSW SES
by | June 25, 2015
At NSW Parliament House today, the Minister for Emergency Services, The Hon. David Elliott MP announced the 24 finalists for the 2015 Rotary NSW Emergency Services Community Awards.
The awards program is the only one of its kind that recognises both volunteers and paid Emergency Services personnel who show community service that goes above and beyond the call of normal duties.
Our Deputy Commissioner Greg Newton joined with other emergency service leaders from Ambulance NSW, Marine Rescue, Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service and the Volunteer Rescue Association and Rotarian leaders at today’s ceremony.
We are so proud of our four NSW SES finalists…
- Peta Luke – Merriwa Unit Controller
- Louise DeMarco - Logistics Officer from North Sydney Unit
- Shannon Crofton – Flood Rescue Officer from Sydney Southern Region
- Peter Cinque – Sydney Western Region Controller
Congratulations and all the best for the finals on Friday 28th August!
