SES warns residents to prepare homes ahead of storm seasons after insurance claims rose 30 percent - The Daily Telegraph
“On average there are over one hundred severe thunderstorm events per year, and this year we’ve already had one major storm in April which communities are still recovering from,” NSW SES Commissioner Adam Dent said.
“While the official storm season runs from October to March, dangerous weather can occur at any time of the year, in all seasons.
“That’s why we’re advising people not to be complacent about storm preparedness this summer, and to take a few simple steps to prepare their homes and businesses now.’’
