Severe Storm creates havoc across Fairfield region - Fairfield City Champion

AS wild weather swept across the Fairfield-Cabramatta area last week, Fairfield State Emergency Service was out in force helping those in need.

The rescue service, dedicated to assisting the community in times of crisis, received 78 calls for assistance after more than 200 millimetres of rain hit the district.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, 90.8 millimetres of rain fell over Fairfield last Tuesday, April 21 compared to 79.6 millimetres on Wednesday and 33.8 millimetres on Thursday.
