Severe thunderstorms roll thorugh Sydney and the Central Coast - 9 News

Emergency crews have responded to dozens of calls for help after severe storms tore through Sydney and the Central Coast.

A spectacular lightning show lit up the night sky, with UK singer Ed Sheeran forced to delay his Allianz Stadium show by 15 minutes.

Dozens of trees were downed across Sydney, including one on the Western Distributor in Pyrmont which blocked traffic to an on-ramp. 

Flash flooding also wreaked havoc at Turramurra, in the city's north-west.
