Sydney weather:More rain to cap wettest April in 26 years as new threat looms - The Sydney Morning H

Residents in north-eastern NSW likely to be affected by heavy rain in coming days are being advised to "bunker down" and avoid unnecessary travel ahead of possible flooding, according to the NSW State Emergency Service.
Sydney is likely to be spared the worst of the deluge with rainfall totals likely to be about 100mm "at the upper bound" for the four days from Thursday, said Anthony Duke, a meteorologist with Weatherzone.
Since the rain is likely to be spread out - with 30mm expected on both Friday and Saturday at the most - the city is likely to avoid a repeat of last week's flash floods and strong winds during the powerful east coast low event, Mr Duke said.
