Thieves ransack SES cars outside Hunter Valley hotel while storm response team sleeps - ABC News

Thieves have broken into several State Emergency Service (SES) vehicles parked outside a hotel in the Hunter Valley overnight.

The SES said volunteers from Sydney, Canberra and the Hunter town of Aberdeen were staying in the hotel, before going out to help with the recovery from last week's storm.

It said a chainsaw, a power saw, a car fridge, fuel cans, hand tools and protective clothing were stolen from the five cars.
