On Friday the dark clouds gave way to blue skies, and the devastating winds abated, but the reprieve was short lived.
A hailstorm, strong winds and rain again buffeted the region.
"At the very least it's an inconvenience, but at the worst it's actually causing more damage, more distress. It has regenerated calls for people that still have roof damage and trees down.
"The weather is just aggravating the situation, " said Gosford S-E-S Deputy controller Werner Klumpp.
There's at least another week of work ahead for the wearing volunteers.
