The Volunteers Association is a not for profit registered charity that was established in 1998 to represent and support the volunteer members of the NSW State Emergency Service. The Volunteers Association is an organisation set up for the benefit of the thousands of volunteer members of the SES and as a member, you join with other individuals who share your enthusiasm and commitment to Community and Volunteer Services.
In todays challenging times you need to stay informed and on top of your game. The NSW SES VA provides you with up to date information and connects you with the people and programs / education that will help you achieve your objectives. Our Website is a great resource featuring news and upcoming events and includes a Members Only section with access to Newsletters, Documents and access too an online store for SES Apparel and merchandise. We also publish a quarterley newsletter for our members (and a bi monthly E-Newsletter).
The Volunteers Association also provides representation and support services for our volunteer members. We work closely with the NSW SES to achieve common goals and represent the interests of our volunteer members, advocating for them when appropriate. We also provide support to our Volunteers through Grants, Scholarships and other supporting schemes such as the Welfare Fund.
Our members are the visible embodiment of our commitment to change and improvement. It is through your dedication and commitment to your community and profession that the VA Flourishes. Your Membership means a great deal to us.
