The New South Wales State Emergency Service (NSW SES)  recognises the tireless efforts of the following NSW SES members who all received Australia Day honours or awards for their contribution to their local communities and to the greater Australian Community:

  • Clement Moir NSW SES Inverell Unit Local Controller – Emergency Services Medal
  • Gina Mammon, Manager of Critical Incident and Counselling – Emergency Services Medal
  • Elmer Knobel, NSW SES North West Region member – Member of the Order of Australia   
  • Christopher Chant, NSW SES Murray Region member – Medal of the Order of Australia
  • Peter Kaye, NSW SES Ashfield-Leichhardt Unit Local Controller – AM, Member of the Order of Australia; Citizen of the Year  Ashfield
  • Gregory Rowe, NSW SES  Tomaree Unit member – Port Stephens RAAF Williamtown Citizen of the Year
  • Leonie Knapman, NSW SES Wingercarribee Unit member – Wingecarribee Shire Citizen of the Year
  • Warren Turner, NSW SES Kiama Unit member – Kiama Citizen of the Year
  • Nerida Reid, NSW SES Hay Unit member – Hay Shire Citizen of the Year
  • Joshua Day, NSW SES Gunnedah Unit member – Gunnedah Australia Day Young Citizen Award
  • Kamala Wheeler, NSW SES North West Region member – Runner up in the Citizen of the Year award for Moree Plains Shire
  • Jean Muggleton, NSW SES Inverell Unit member – Citizen of the Year award for Inverell Shire
  • Robald Jones, NSW SES Trundle Unit member – Trundle Citizen of the Year
  • Alex Eagles, NSW SES Ku-ring-gai Unit member - Ku-ring-gai Youth Citizen of the Year
