Hills SES controller awarded State Emergency Award/Emergency Service Meda - Hills News

Evelyn Lester, the local controller for the Hills SES and the 2013 Hills Citizen of the Year, was presented the State Emergency Award/Emergency Service Medal by NSW SES acting commissioner Jim Smith at a ceremony in Baulkham Hills last night.

She is only the second person to receive one this year.

Keith Grant was presented a Life Member Award for 46 years of faithful service.

‘‘I am very humbled and honoured that someone thought to nominate me,’’ Ms Lester, of Kellyville, said.
