by | October 14, 2014
State Emergency Service crews in the Hunter are on alert today, with predictions of up to 150 millimetres of rain in some parts of the valley.
A low pressure trough and cold front with thunderstorms is making its way across the state, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, damaging surf and hail.
Heavy rain overnight generated 10 calls for assistance across the Hunter region, but the calls were mostly for leaking roofs and no major damage was reported.
