Knobel honoured with OAM - Moree Champion

ELMER Knobel was honoured with an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) on Australia Day for his continued contributions to the community.

He said he was surprised and happy to be awarded the OAM.

“I just like to help out the community and, if I can, help to better it,” he said.

Mr Knobel has been volunteering in the State Emergency Service (SES) for over 55 years, along with the show society and numerous other community committees.
