Lachlan SES Volunteers return from Business crisis - Parkes Champion - Post

More than 300 volunteers from the NSW State Emergency Service from across the state travelled to assist their NSW Rural Fire Service colleagues in support of the mammoth bushfire emergency.
SES volunteers from Lachlan Region - Parkes, Forbes, Peak Hill and West Wyalong SES units - provided assistance to the State Mine Fire in Lithgow.
NSW SES volunteers provided logistical support for the RFS, taking resources to fire fighters on the front line and staging areas, manning road blocks, door knocking effected communities, assisted with evacuations and doing welfare checks on people such as the elderly for whom there were concerns about.
