Liverpool roads flood as wild weather takes hold - Liverpool Champion

LIVERPOOL SES received 110 calls for assistance following bad weather that swept across the city last week.

Up to 70mm of rain fell in Liverpool each day and more than eight roads were closed.

Liverpool SES spokesman John Jones said the majority of calls were made in response to fallen trees and localised flooding.

"We also had a number of calls for leaking roofs and we did a few flood rescues," he said.
