Meet a NSW volunteer proving disability does not define his ability - NSW SES
by | July 29, 2014
Today is International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) where we recognise the wonderful contribution people with disability make to our community. We here at the New South Wales State Emergency Service (NSW SES) want to pay tribute to those volunteers who have disability that strive to serve their community in times of need.
The theme for this year’s IDPwD is break barriers and open doors: to realise an inclusive society for all.
This year marks the 21st anniversary of IDPwD being celebrated across the world and what better way to mark the occasion than to meet one of our amazing NSW SES volunteers who has faced his own adversity and who through personal tragedy has used his own experience to educate others.
