TWO years ago the Port Macquarie State Emergency Service took out the top prize at the State Disaster Rescue Competition.

At the weekend they couldn't quite repeat history at the Jambaroo Adventure Park near Wollongong.

Although Kiama were crowned the overall winners, the Port Macquarie-Hastings team were able to compete at the highest level and showcase their skills and rescue ability
