SES crews continue clean up on onrthern beaches after heavy rain and strong winds lash Peninsula - The Daily Telegraph
STATE Emergency Service crews from as far away as Parramatta helped local crews deal with damage caused by the strong winds and heavy rain over the weekend.
And the Bureau of Meteorology is warning swimmers, surfers and rock fishermen of deceptively powerful surf conditions along the Sydney coastline, with 1.5m seas on a 2m swell.
An Ausgrid spokeswoman said about 50 homes at Warriewood remain without power.
She said that at its peak, there were about 20,000 homes and businesses on the northern beaches and upper North Shore without power.
