by | July 29, 2014

NSW State Emergency Service Ryde Unit will host a Community Information Night on Monday December 16 in Ryde SES headquarters, 137 Wicks Road, Macquarie Park from 8pm to 9.30pm for anyone interested in learning more about the SES’s role and local volunteering opportunities.

Ryde SES Recruitment and Retention Officer Jo Bezzina encourages members of the Ryde Local Government Area who might like to become involved with their local SES unit to come along to the Information Night and hear first-hand from volunteers about the different kinds of roles volunteers undertake.

”There are no barriers to becoming an SES volunteer. Our members are of all ages, from 18 and up, and have a diverse range of backgrounds and careers,” Ms Bezzina said.

”There are many roles that an NSW SES volunteer can participate in, regardless of age, gender or ability, from rescue and storm repairs, to operations, planning and logistics.”

Inquiries Jo 0488 727 643.
