SES rescue for man injured in garage - Post Macquarie News
by Chris Ward | July 29, 2014
AN ELDERLY man received attention from the emergency services earlier this morning.
The man was on a mezzanine level of a garage when he fell in a Pacific Drive residence .
Occupants of the home said he was attempting to help tidy when the accident happened.
He slipped and fell on the upper level and SES workers and paramedics worked for about 45 minutes to bring him down.
He is believed to have had a hip replacement in the past and initial fears were of another break in that area of his body.
The patient was transported to Port Macquarie Base Hospital about midday and the SES were praised by onlookers for the work they did in such a delicate operation.
