SES To The RESCUE - The Ridge News
by | June 18, 2015
There is no question NSW State Emergency Service members are among the most versatile and well- trained emergency service volunteers.
NSW SES volunteers from across the Northern cluster of Macquarie region spent some time in Lightning Ridge recently to undertake Road Crash Rescue training, adding another skill to their experience portfolios.
In addition to the “core roles”of Emergency Flood and Storm Response many NSW SES units provide rescue services to local communities. Road Crash Rescue training is an intensive and, at times, physically demanding course, requiring participants to manoeuvre, lift and apply hydraulic cutting equipment.
