SES volunteers paint Australian Reptile Park Ploddy for Wear Orange Wednesday - Central Coast Gosfor
by By Pauline Priest | July 29, 2014
DRIVERS on the M1 will notice Central Coast’s iconic dinosaur Ploddy has changed colour again and is now orange to signify SES for WOW Day (Wear Orange Wednesday) to show support of State Emergency Service volunteers.
NSW SES volunteers have spent more than 260,000 hours helping their communities in times of storms, floods and other emergencies and Central Coast residents are being encouraged to wear orange to recognise this effort.
WOW Day is a national day of recognition of the 40,000 SES volunteers across the country and the public is encouraged to show their appreciation in a highly visible way, by wearing the colour orange, which is the official colour of the SES uniform.
