SES Wear Orange Wednesday a campaign to support volunteers - The Queanbeyan Age
by Kimberley Le Lievre | November 17, 2015
Wear orange on Wednesday, November 18, to show your support for local State Emergency Service volunteers. Wearing orange is a simple yet highly visible gesture as part of a national day of recognition for volunteers in the community who support residents in their time of need.
Queanbeyan boasts about 100 SES volunteers who assist in floods and storms, not only in the region but across NSW and the ACT.
For SES volunteer Stephanie Rayment, she will be wearing orange on Wednesday not only in support of the service but to say thanks to her workplace, who allow her time off to volunteer.
