State Emergency Services turns to high school students to train the next generation - The Daily Tele

AMID a spate of summer storms, a new SES course for high school students is certainly good news.
The State Emergency Service cadet program is training the next generation of volunteers to call on in a crisis.
The short school course, backed by Origin Energy as part of International Volunteers Day, will help bolster SES ranks from Ballina to Broken Hill. The students will receive nationally accredited training that they can take into the workforce.
