Stay safe this storm season - Gloucester Advocate

THE NSW State Emergency Service (SES) Gloucester unit is encouraging the local community to prepare for the storm season with an information display at Gloucester Shire Council’s administration building throughout October. 

Storms increase during the warmer months from October through to March. 

“The purpose of the display is to provide practical advice to residents on how they can reduce property damage and risks to personal safety posed by storms, by undertaking some basic home maintenance and planning,” Gloucester SES unit controller Bruce Sun said.

“These measures include cleaning roof gutters, trimming tree branches, fixing any broken or cracked roof tiles and maintaining yards and balconies.”
