Storm warning for Mid North Coast - Manning River Times
by | August 3, 2016
The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is warning residents on the Mid North Coast to prepare for possible heavy rain, strong winds, damaging seas and abnormally high tides that could affect the region from Wednesday.
A low pressure system is expected to develop off the NSW coast generating heavy rain and possible flash flooding throughout the Mid North Coast.
Acting NSW SES Mid North Coast Region Controller, Tony Day said, “We are particularly concerned about the damaging winds, large five metres seas and king tides on Wednesday night that will increase the risks of flash and riverine flooding in the lower parts of the Macleay, Hastings, Camden Haven and Manning catchments.”
