Stormy weather ahead for the Hunter - ABC Online

On Monday afternoon the Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Hunter for large hailstones and damaging winds.

Lightning strikes in the Upper Hunter temporarily put the ABC's transmitter at Muswellbrook out of action.

The temperature reached 30 degrees on Monday, but maximums will plummet in the next couple of days with tops of only 19 and 17 expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.
