Strathfield SES volunteer one of 24 people sailing to Gallipoli on Young Endeavour ahead of Anzac Da

SHE has never sailed a tall ship, but on April 24, Danielle Skews will get a taste of life on the high seas aboard the Young Endeavour.

The Strathfield SES volunteer is one of just 24 Australians and New Zealanders chosen to steer the tall ship from Sydney to Gallipoli, as part of Anzac Centenary commemorations.

“I have some experience at sea but none sailing tall ships, however, I’m very excited to be going and looking forward to the challenge,” Ms Skews said.

The 25-year-old said the trip had a personal connection for her.
