Sydney Volunteers acknowledged for long service to NSW SES - David Elliot
Volunteers from the New South Wales State Emergency Service (NSW SES) Sydney Western Region have been recognised for their diligent service to their community.
Member for Baulkham Hills, David Elliott officially presented awards for 13 volunteers from across the NSW SES ‘The Hills Unit’ with Long Service Awards ranging from 5 years to 45 years of service with the NSW SES. Mr Elliott was joined at the ceremony by NSW SES Assistant Commissioner Greg Newton, NSW SES Sydney Western Region Controller Peter Cinque, The Hills Shire Council Mayor Michelle Byrne, volunteers and their families.
In handing over the awards, Mr Elliott thanked the volunteers for their outstanding work on behalf of the community.
“These awards are in recognition of the diligent service shown by these members who have dedicated many years to volunteering for the NSW SES. In fact when you add up their years of service together it equates to 190 years of experience,” Mr Elliott said.
