The clean-up has begun following severe storms across Sydney - News.com.au

TWO people were struck by lightning and another strike set fire to a power station as a severe thunderstorm swept through Sydney and the Blue Mountains last night.

A 28-year-old man was taken to Blue Mountains Hospital after he was struck by lightning on a worksite about 4.30pm.

Paramedics also treated a 60-year-old man who was struck at Cabramatta.

Firefighters and State Emergency Services volunteers were run off their feet, receiving more than 400 calls for help with flooded homes and businesses, fallen powerlines and lightning strikes.
